Build a Kit

  • Keep at least 72 hours of supplies on hand
    • For water, that's 1 gallon per person, per day
    • A  family of 4 needs at least 12 gallons of water

  • Garland Alert System - If we can't reach you, we can't alert you!
  • NOAA All-Hazards Weather Radio, Outdoor Warning Systems, Weather Apps, Internet, Local News/Media, Family/Friends

Preparedness Presentations will be customized to meet the needs and interests of your audience including tips, tools and tailored preparedness considerations as well as specific emergency services Garland offers.

REQUEST printed materials

The Office of Emergency Management provides printed preparedness materials to citizens upon request. Printed materials include: communication plans, emergency plans, fliers, postcards, lists, booklets, and more! English and Spanish materials are available. Please check back frequently for updated materials.
